When you start your own business, there are milestones that happen along the way that you never forget. One of those moments for me was when a complete stranger reached out to me to hire me as their coach. Fast forward, she’s now a very close friend AND my business partner!
The “stranger” I’m talking about is my friend Bridget. Bridget is a past client of mine, a Counselor at the Stillwater prison (God bless the work she does!) and now my business partner! I could pinch myself because I feel so lucky to have someone like her in my life.
When Bridget first reached out to me I was shocked that a complete stranger had found me on the internet (um hello new business owner, that means your social media marketing is working!). Once I got over the initial shock that I was on the phone with a stranger, I knew Bridget was going to be a special client. And, like it is with all of my clients, we became quick friends.
Ok, now to the fast forward part. This summer, Bridget and I got together to catch up. As we’re enjoying our meal, Bridget says to me “I got this download at church and I think we should create something together”. And I was like “you had me at download!”
We have been working for the last few months on our first project together: a women’s personal development retreat! We wanted to take all of the things we love about personal development, plus our expertise as a certified coach and licensed professional counselor to create a deep and connective experience for like-minded women.
World, I’d like you to meet our first “Everme Event”: Set the Vision for Your Creatively Designed Life in 2020
This event is a 3-day weekend long retreat tucked away just outside of the Twin Cities. It is designed for a small, intimate group ready to dive into deep issues. It’s also designed to demonstrate the power of strangers and what is possible when people who do not know each other previously come together to start a soul-filled relationship. We also want you to approach 2020 with a clear vision and ditch that hindsight mindset.
In case you forgot, I 100% believe that you deserve a creatively designed life. A life that fulfills you and brings you joy, and whether or not you believe it right now, I know that this is possible for you..sometimes it just takes a weekend away to get clear on that reality.

As an introvert, I tend to avoid strangers (ok, you caught me, I tend to avoid people in general…). But my friend Bridget has shown me that there is connection to be found with every single person you encounter. I’m so excited to be partnering with her and to bring her expertise and God given talents to Everme Coaching!
